I guess I must be a little naive about people. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt. The last couple of days have really gotten under my skin. Many reasons; many irritations. I would be here till tomorrow writing if I listed everything. So, I will list a couple, perhaps, a few things. I'll only list today's irritations.

This morning started out like any other Friday morning. Kids up and moving, computers working okay, etc. Now, the time comes to drive my kids to school. No big deal. Do it every week day. The school has changed the procedures for dropping off. Single file line; roll up and out pops the kids. Simple. Well, at 8 am, everyone is there dropping off; therefore, the line can become quite long. Their solution is that the single car lane drifts out into the street hugging the curb. No biggie, right? Along the way, there is a designated crosswalk about a block away from the school. The line extends to this crosswalk. This morning, I stopped so a girl and boy could cross at the crossing. I look up to see an old man going around me, crossing into on-coming traffic to get around me. Then, a women, who has children that attend the school, zip around me. Again, on the wrong side of the street. I roll my window down to signal her to stop which she does and the children safely cross the street. It really rubbed me the wrong way. Someone could have been seriously hurt. Why in the world would you drive that unsafe in a school zone? And I'm sure, they never thought twice about it let alone once. This extremely irritated me.

My kids had a costume parade at school which I volunteered to take some pictures of the day's activities. I am standing in the gymnasium waiting for the parade to begin. I start talking to some of my kids' teammates parents. One dad arrives, starts to walk toward me, then realizes its just me and no one else from the team. He keeps walking and ignores me as I say hello to him. I'm like....geesh. Maybe he didn't hear me. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

After school, I'm up at the local grocery store with my daughter. We are getting stuff to make smores for the girl scout meeting. While I was at the customer service desk filling out a paper, I hear my daughter say, "Hey, we know you." I wait to hear a response and I hear none. I turn around to see who my girl is talking to. It is a mom of one of my son's teammates. So, I loudly say hello to her. To make sure she heard me. She barely lifts her head and says hello. Looks down and quickly runs down the next aisle. I was dumbfounded for a brief second. I said to my daughter, How rude was that? The dad who ignored me is this woman's husband. SO, now I'm pissed.

For the past 8 weeks, I have stood next to these people, cheered with them, broke bread (pizza) with them, took pictures of their son, and this is how I am treated? Now, I know where I stand. This is the same woman who has asked for my pictures to make a dvd for the banquet. Yeah, I'm all over that.
